My name is Coach Carla
I am the onsite pickleball professional at The Surf RV Resort in Palmetto, FL sponsored by Acacia Sports. My 85 and 83 year old parents introduced me to the sport 8 years ago. It took me four years to grow a true passion for the sport and now play competitively. I have a bachelor's degree in business and a masters degree in education and spent most of my adult life as a public school teacher. COACHING
My goal with all students is to set them up to know what they need to practice and how best to execute a great practice session so they can grow their level of play. If you want to play socially but hold your own against a banger, look no further. If you want to level up your game and learn strategically how to outmaneuver your opponents, you have come to the right place. I know how to break things down into manageable chunks for students so they walk away understanding and confident in their learning.
Private Lessons
Carla will work one on one, based on your level, to help you master shot selection, stroke mechanics, strategy and anticipation needed for every aspect of the game.
Carla can work with students one on one, one with two or one with three. More than three we can discuss small to medium clinic options.
Three and a Pro
You bring three people and Carla will be your fourth player. She plays a game with each of you, stopping after each rally to discuss what went wrong, what choices were made and what might have been a better shot selection.
It is a great opportunity to talk strategy specifics in real time. This is a full 90 minute session with one small hydration break.
Clinics & Drilling
If you have a small group looking to improve their game, Carla can work to create a clinic based around the level of play for the group she is instructing. Please send her a message to discuss the specifics and costs.
Drilling specific skills in pickleball is the BEST way to improve play.
Carla can coordinate a group drilling session to help you and your pickleball friends get the most of their practice sessions. Drills can be catered to beginners up to the 5.0 level. Send Carla a message to discuss specifics.
